¡Feliz Cumpleaños, Dorothy Lamour!
AKA Mary Leta Dorothy Slaton.
Born December 10, 1914. Died September 22, 1996.
She was comic actor Bob Hope's most famous and most frequent co-star -- apart from Bing Crosby, of course -- and she was everyone else's favorite actress of French Louisianan, Spanish and Irish descent. She was also one of the most popular pinup girls during World War II, giving more conventional women like Betty Grable and Lana Turner a good run for their money. She also sang in more than a few of her movies, but alas, she was always more famous for her sarongs than for her songs.
