The Twilight Zone (TOS): "Mirror Image"
Was this the face that launched a thousand "evil twin" stories?
Probably not, but it should have been.
I have gotten so used to thinking of Vera Miles as the actress who played the surviving sibling of poor Marion Crane in the 1960 movie Psycho that I often forget how often she got away with roles like this.
And I can't help but wonder if it is entirely a coincidence that bus travel in America has become so less popular since this episode hit the air.
In any event, it is hardly likely that the average American who travels by bus today worries too much about seeing his or her evil twin at the bus station like Vera's character did. Then again it is not like most Americans spend a lot of time at the local bus station nowadays if they can help it.
