Night Gallery: "The Devil Is Not Mocked"
Now this is a Resistance leader!
But seriously, folks.
The story itself was based on an old Manly Wade Wellman story in which a German officer confronted a legendary evildoer during World War II. Helmut Dantine played the officer. Francis Lederer played his opponent.
For some odd reason, I liked this episode when I first saw it as a small boy. However, how well you might appreciate it probably depends on how seriously you take the info offered in this review -- although if worse comes to worse, you can always consider this tale yet another example of alternative history.
