Something I Should Have Mentioned Way Earlier than This
Some time between the day I posted this item back in 2008 and the end of last year, the City of Dallas finally named a local street after Mexican-American labor organizer César Chávez -- surprise, surprise, it was not Ross Avenue. It says something about how rarely I go downtown that it took me a long while to pick up on this but I finally did.
I know I should have mentioned this news far earlier than today but a lot has been going on this past six months. Lo siento.
