It's Over
My engagement is over, the wedding has been cancelled and I don't feel so good myself.
Someday I may get into more detail about that situation on this site but not just yet.
Let's just say last week wasn't one of my better weeks and this past weekend definitely won't be remembered as one of my better weekends.
And, yes, it does seem sadly ironic that my engagement ended this close to Valentine's Day. Do I have great timing or what?

I am so sorry. You are right, the timing is just life piling on. I had a male friend who broke up with a girlfriend ON Valentine's Day. In the middle of watching Casablanca. My own breakups always seemed to come at Christmas.
Be good to yourself. Time to hole up with the best DVDs in your collection.
Thank you for your kind words, Campaspe.
I've been doing just what you said though for some bizarre reason, I started watching "Sweet Charity" the other night which proved to be a mistake. The first few songs were okay, but everything after "I Love To Cry at Weddings" seemed like a sick joke in the light of recent events and I ended up having to turn it off.
I did have one major breakup with a previous girlfriend on Easter Sunday but none on Christmas thus far.
And breaking up in the middle of "Casablanca"? I can't even imagine the sad irony of that type of breakup.
