Weeds: “Corn Snake”

Wow, I was just getting used to all the ethnic clichés on the first season of Weeds: the jive-talking black people, the uptight white people, the inevitable Latina housekeeper and the even more inevitable Latino drug dealer.

Now we got a new cliché to deal with: the uppity Latina maid. Oh, wait, that's just a variation on last season's favorite ethnic cliché.

Oh, well. Everyone knows that Latinos don't live in the suburbs. And if you do see them there, they're either servants or criminals as far as this show is concerned.

What a nice progressive viewpoint for a 21st Century TV show. Almost awe-inspiring, in fact.
