R.I.P. Mike Wallace

Journalist Mike Wallace, best known for his work on the TV news program Sixty Minutes, finished his last report on April 7 at age 93.

He will be missed.

R.I.P. Jonathan Frid

Canadian actor Jonathan Frid, most famous for his role as Barnabas Collins on the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows, walked off into the fog for the final time last Friday at age 87.

He will be missed.

R.I.P. Levon Helm

American singer and actor Levon Helm, best known for his vocal work with the 1960s rock group the Band as well as his supporting role as Loretta Lynn's father in the 1980 movie Coal Miner's Daughter, finished his last take yesterday at age 71.

He will be missed.

R.I.P. Dick Clark

Dick Clark, former host of the TV series American Bandstand, took the needle off his last record Wednesday at age 82.

He will be missed.

Buscando Trabajo de Nuevo: Parte XXVII

Apparently that dream I mentioned in my last installment of this feature did not come true.

But I'm still searching. Even though life does make it frustrating. My having to drive all the way to Irving this past week for a job interview that was ultimately fruitless doesn't make things seem much better. Especially since my would-be employer rejected me for reasons he could have found out when I was initially interviewed by phone.
